Hey all. I know that some people have been waiting for the time-lapse video of the Tiamat Dragon (while others have seen enough of this thread). I finally finished it. I had to edit 180+ videos which is why it took so long. If you want to see the video just click on the photo. Coincidentally, they unveiled the project last night, New Year’s Eve, at The Chromatic Dragon restaurant in Savannah, Georgia. I’m always extremely relieved when one of my projects survives the shipping.
Happy New Year to you all! I hope you make lots of art in 2016!
Wow! This project has been going on since last year!
Thanks Daniel. Yes, I’ve been working on this since the summer. But it was five projects so its understandable. take care
AWESOME! I am mesmerized by this time-lapse video. Shared it to my Facebook page. Am really jealous of your talent!
I’m glad you like the video Nina! It’s always a lot of work so I’m glad when people say they appreciate them. Thank you.
Hey you are truly gifted. I so love and admire your works, when I was younger I too did pieces, Not as beautiful as yours and I didn’t realize they were art. But watching you, the work the hours. I know how hard and pains taking your creatures are. One year I did the wild Things. They were so cool, Will you branch out too. Love dragons obviously but I know creative adventurers need to grow. So I am curios. I so appreciate you sharing your talent with me. Warm wishes for a Happy, Healthy New Year.
You are very sweet Melanie. Thank you for the nice remarks. I never know where I’m going to go next. I love the Wild Things book. I used to do art projects surrounding that book when I taught elementary. Monsters and kids go together. Take care
Happy New Year, Dan, to you, your family and the cats! What a stupendous achievement these dragons are, congratulations! Now for 2016! WooHoo! Can’t wait!
Thanks Carol! Same to you. I’m glad the project is done. Time to move on to other things. Take care

Hey Lori. Happy New Year to you too! Glad you like this. I’m happy to get to some other projects that have been put on hold. They did arrive and are on the wall. Yeah!
They’re alive!!!
What could be better than a dragon? Why, five dragons, of course. Great work, Dan!
Thank you for making and sharing your video.
Thanks Lyman! Yes, they made it to their destination and are up on the wall. I’m very relieved.

Boa sorte!
Do you use the same recipe for the cloth or do you have a separate recipe?
Hello Oreta. I use white glue, like Elmer’s, for the cloth.
Hi Dan,
I’m a huge fan of your work and im still just a novice at paper mache. I was wondering how do you make your eyes for the dragons? or do you buy them? they look really good and i was curious. Thank much!
Hello Krystal. Thanks for the nice note. I buy the eyes from taxidermy companies. You can find them all online. If you google “glass eyes taxidermy” you’ll see lots to choose from. Good luck
