Paper Mache Ice Dragon- More work in the Jaws

More About the Jaws.

There is more to be done to these jaws.    First is to dry brush a few highlights.   A dark pink I think.

Same with the tongue.

Next a little glue.  What?

glue for glitter

And some, gulp, glitter!

adding glitter to jaws

Okay, I don’t really like glitter either, although you wouldn’t know it from my last project, Alduin (and I heard plenty of complaints about it, so I don’t really need any more thanks.)   This is a very fine glitter and it’s going to go a long way toward making the dragon look frozen.

The blue lights on these is going to look great.   Trust me.

I trust you Dan! And there’s no doubt in my mind that this dragon is going to be fffffabulous!!

  2. Mona says:

Great idea! I bet that will look cool with lights.

  3. Janet post says:

Glitter is just fine. A dragon is an illusion of our imagination. I have “imagined” them shiny and glittery. My second one is a bit shiny, she’s silver. I wish I had thought to use glitter on her. Shine on Dan the dragon man.

  4. Carol says:

I trust you implicitly Dan! And I love that fine glitter. Looks fabulous, of course. Carol

If ever there was a project that called for glitter it must be this one (and I thought it turned out fine on Alduin too). It will pick up the lights and give the overall colour some nice icy depth. From what I can see in the photos it looks particularly effective on the tongue.

    • Hey Stella. Hope you are well and making art. Yes, the lights will pick this up. Since it is going to be painted dark colors, it needed something. I’ll try to get a post out soon with the lights. Thanks as always!

¡Buena suerte!
